We can have green conservatism — and we should
Human Events, News Gingrich 04.23.07
I had a debate a couple weeks ago with Sen. John Kerry — followed by a speech last week — about something called “green conservatism.” Some of my old friends have approached me to ask why I’m spending so much time talking about the environment — and with a former Democratic nominee for President no less.

I understand the issue is to make a fuel or fuels out of existing raw materials or waste materials in an efficient, non-poluting way with little waste or with additional usable by-products to help defer costs.
I understand there are technologies that can be developed to do just that. Some of those processes are unfunded and undeveloped. Others are inefficient because of the time or volume needed to produce resonable quantities of fuel. Still others use fuels to produce fuels which is less desirable.
I have been investigating such processes in an attempt to invest wisely in an OPEC free America. Anyone with knowledge of investments in such technology, please make the company names available. I am particularly interested in anything that can turn coal into a liquid fuel. I might add that as a group, we can make a difference by funding the development of such processes. Who else is in ?
