Congressman Bob Inglis (R-SC4) came up with the triple play metaphor (jobs, pollution, security– see my previous post). The new head of the Christian Coalition and the former Deputy Chief of Naval Operations have a lot to say about these things in an Orlando Sentinel op-ed column. I can’t vouch for the conservatism of the two co-signers, but they come from largely conservative places (the cockpit of fighter jets and the evangelical pulpit) and nothing they wrote sets off my “libdar” (that’s a radar for detecting rampant liberalism). My libdar might be set different from yours, but there’s probably a common set of triggers we could all agree on. Maybe another day’s post!
Interesting, isn’t it, that the Congressman (my hometown Rep. and a friend, I should note) is speaking about grace and humility, the Vice Admiral is addressing stewardship of God’s creation, and the preacher is testifying to jobs and markets? Interesting meeting place we got here, for red staters everywhere.
