One Response to “New Terra Rossa Poll”

  1. Gene Blair Says:

Actually our greatest threat is our own government. While we watch our infrastructure fall apart around us, our congress has its head buried in the sand. Perhaps while they are down there they might look for some alternative sources of energy. If we began today to mine the landfills of America for usable sources of energy producing fuels that are essentially free we would eliminate a serious problem for coming generations, polluted aquafirs and poisoned soils. We could also insure a steady source (9 lbs. of waste per every man woman and child in this country)every day from now on. How much more renewable is that. There is also the issue with the scams that are being allowed to be played on the naive public, e.g. hybrid cars, which are a joke, and SUV’s that are twice the size of vehicles that we outlawed 20 years ago. Chavez is a pussycat compared to our own men and women in the United States Congress.

To limit pollution and reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources we should:

Implement a market-based ‘Cap and Trade’ solution
Increase taxes and government subsidies
Buy tickets to see Leo’s latest flop
Do nothing and hope it will get better
Undecided, but we do need to find a solution
