Global Warming
Global warming is the increase of the average weather temperature of the Earth’s surface air and oceans. Global warming has been in effect since the mid-20th century. Since then, it is projected that with the current state of the environment, this increase will continue to happen. Global warming is said to be in effect in large part due to the rapid increase of greenhouse gas in the last two centuries. 1. One of the components that is held largely responsible for global warming is volcanoes and solar radiation. The two began to have an effect on the climate temperature in the 1950s. These contributing factors have been attributed to be a cause of global warming by over 40 science academies and scientific societies. 2. Another thing that is highly associated with global warming is the notion that this increase in global temperature through global warming will cause there to be a rise in sea levels. Throughout the years, scientists have seen that increasing sea levels lead to an increase in temperatures. So, it is not far fetched to say that, in turn, global warming will lead to rising sea levels. 3. Global warming is slated to effect the pattern of … Continue reading
Air Pollution
Air pollution can cause a great deal of harm to the environment. What makes that notion so bad is the fact that it has had and will continue to have a devastating effect on the people that inhabit the earth. Unfortunately, most people are subject to air pollution at some point in their lives. Pollution exists in almost every city. However, air pollution is the contaminated air that is let back into the environment due to the release into the air of chemicals, particulate matter, or biological materials. There are many way that air pollution has an effect on the current state of the earth. Today, we will discuss some of the places that this harmful pollution tends to effect. 1.NATURE Air pollution has had and will continue to have a devastating effect on the natural environment. The factors associated with pollution will lead to the falling appearance of plants, flowers, leaves, and other natural inhabitants. Many people take pride and appreciation in the visual beauty, smell, and detail of nature. Pollution completely works against this aesthetic quality. 2.VEGETATION Air pollution effects vegetation. The plant life will not be able to survive if we it is constantly confronted by pollution. … Continue reading
Water Pollution
Water pollution has presented itself as a growing problem that has expanded on earth. Many people are not aware of the issue, but more and more people are speaking out today. Many people only think of air pollution when the word pollution is mentioned. However, there are other forms of pollution that are just as harmful, and just as prevalent. Water pollution is the contamination of bodies of water, including rivers, oceans, lakes, and groundwater. Water pollution effects those that inhabit any of those bodies of earth, and also includes the plant life that lives and dwells under water. This type of pollution is very dangerous to the species that live in the water. Water pollution pollutes the air that they breathe, causing there to be a compromise in the air quality that these creatures intake. Water pollution is also harmful to those that feed on water animals in order to survive. This type of pollution effects the healthiness of the water creatures, which, in turn, effects the food that is consumed from these bodies of water. For these reasons, it is crucial that we do not ignore this issue. It is imperative that we continue to measure the water … Continue reading
Reasons Why People Believe Global Warming is a Hoax
There are many reasons why people believe that global warming is a hoax. Some just find it hard to believe that global warming can possibly be a real issue. Even more frequent, many people will find it hard to believe that the issue will have some kind of effect on them, in their lifetime. Some people tend to frown upon environmental issues in general. Global warming is simply a joke to some people, and is nothing that they will consider wasting their time thinking about or discussing. They have other things that consume their daily lives that they find more important to worry about and concern themselves with. Environmental issues like this just are not a concern for them for whatever reason. When asked why that is, there typically seems to be a few common responses. 1. One of the common reasons that people feel that environmental issues, in particular global warming is a hoax is because they feel that global warming will not affect them. People sometimes assess environmental issues as something that is abstract that does not relate to them. They think that global warming will never cause a change to their daily lives. On the contrary, global … Continue reading

It is believed that the increase … Continue reading
Air Pollution Control
There are many types of pollution control programs that are floating throughout the air. Pollution is a growing environmental issue that is being addressed. To that end, there are many different types of air pollution control programs that have been originated to deal with the effects that pollutions cause to the environment. 1. Acid Gas Pollution Control Program Acid Gas Pollution Control Program is officially called the Acid Rain Program. The Acid Rain Program is run by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The program is run as a market-based operation and works in an effort to reduce pollution levels in relations to the atmospheric levels of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which cause acid rain. This is an important issue because this causes pollution in plants that lead to the destruction of aquatic animals, as well. What this program does is allow corporations to gain economic incentives if they reduce the pollution that they exert. 2. Mercury Pollution Control One of the most frequently used of the mercury pollution control devices to fight of the harmful pollution that mercury gives off is the venturi scrubber. The venturi scrubber is designed to allow the energy usage from the inlet gas … Continue reading
Ocean Pollution Facts
Ocean pollution is a growing environmental issue that the world is facing. If you are not familiar with ocean pollution, take the time to familiarize yourself with this issue. Be sure to note the cause, as well as the effects of pollution. Ocean pollution happens when chemicals, particles, industrial, agricultural waste, noise, the spread of invasive species, and residential waste are exposed to the ocean. Studies have found that most ocean pollution is as a result of land based pollution. Water pollution is not always intended to be input into the ocean, but it still happens. 1st One source of ocean pollution is as result of Nonpoint Source Pollution (NPS). The pollution occurs because of the water flow runoff that occurs when soil has composed the maximum capacity of water, causing wind-borne debris to be blown out to sea. Ocean pollution will often result because of the waste that is pushed into the ocean due to the overflow of, most commonly, rain and melted snow. 2nd Many times what happens after this ocean pollution occurs is that sea animals such as benthos and plankton consume this food. As you can imagine, this pollution is very dangerous because it harms the … Continue reading

The Causes of Global Warming
There are several causes for the persistence of global warming throughout time. There are many efforts to stop global warming from continuing. In order to do so successfully, it is important that each global warming cause is accurately defined in order to put an end to the growing problem. Knowing the global warming cause will allow is to decipher the global warming effect, and this will allow society to do what is necessary in order to fix the terms and conditions of the environment. 1. One global warming cause is from the carbon dioxide that is emitted into the air by cars. It is believed that 20% of the carbon dioxide that is released into the air is as a result of the pollution that is put into the air by cars. There has been a valiant effort in recent years to eliminate this global warming cause as much as possible. On the automobile market, you will find that the major car dealers offer electrical run vehicles. There was a time when it was just too expensive to buy a hybrid vehicle, but because of global warming, they have become more affordable. Many auto dealers know that car pollution is, … Continue reading
The Global Warming Effect
There are many factors that will result if global warming is not eliminated, or at least regulated. Each global warming effect is catastrophic to the state of the environment. We must do what we can to get rid of global warming because the effects can be quite dangerous. It is important that we do what we can in order to assure that we are not the victim of a global warming effect. 1. One global warming effect that will occur if global warming causes are not regulated are the spread of diseases. What happens is that those insects and animals that have a disease will pass it on to human life. One of the ways that this global warming effect is passed is due to the fact that global warming produces warmer temperatures. In warmer temperatures, insects and animals tend to migrate north. After this migration, they will be transporting with them the plague and disease that they have consumed. The disease will also be spread through our food intake of these diseased animals. 2. Another global warming effect that will cause significant damage as a result of global warming, if not regulated, is that there will be an increasing … Continue reading
